The benefits of joining CAPP include 2 additional services:  The Membership Directory and the Chicago Therapist Search referral service.

The Membership Directory contains contact information and, where appropriate, practice information, for all members of CAPP.  It is a networking tool, a within-member referral database, and a way for all of us to keep in touch.   This benefit is open to all members and is free.  Upon completion of the application and confirmation of payment, Members can log in to their profile to set the privacy level of their information to:  Public, Members Only, or Myself Only.  By default most fields are pre-set to Public.

The Chicago Therapist Search referral service is open to the public through the CAPP website for those looking for a psychoanalytic/psychodynamic therapist/analyst. All Full Members with a current license to practice in the state of Illinois are eligible to enroll in this professional referral service to help expand their practice.  The annual fee is $40. Upon completion of your Full Membership application and confirmation of payment, you may log in to enroll in The Therapist Search. 

Please join at the highest level of membership for which you are qualified:

Full – $120 – Licensed professionals with a PhD, PsyD, MD, LCPC/LPC, LCSW; Eligible for elected Board positions; Eligible for Chicago Therapist Search referral service.

Associate – $75 – Not yet licensed professionals, or those with a degree not in the mental health field. Not eligible for Board positions or Chicago Therapist Search referral service.

Student – $25 – Graduate students, not licensed, not working yet. Not eligible for Board positions or Chicago Therapist Search referral service
